About Grace 0.1

About Grace & Such

Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
~ Ephesians 4:3

In today’s political and cultural climate, with the overwhelming amount of social media, we are an unwilling audience to the hatred among Christians, among fellow believers. God’s grace abounds, yet so many show so little of it toward others. Grace & Such was started as a way to show healthy and gracious conversation, even when we are in disagreement. Our blog includes posts written by a diverse team of women whose only objectives are to share their grace journeys and show what grace-in-action really looks like to the community of believers who, at times, seems to have forgotten how.

Who We Are

As our tagline says, we are a bunch of women writing about grace. And such.

We are a diverse group of women, ranging in age from 20 to 60-something.

Some of us are married; some are divorced; some are single.

Some of us have children; some have grandchildren; some have neither.

Some of us are conservative; some are liberal; some are somewhere in between.

We don’t agree on everything and that’s okay. But here’s what we do agree on:

  • We believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative Word of God
  • We believe in one God in three distinct, equal persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit
  • The Father is the creator of all
  • The Son (Jesus Christ) is our salvation and the only way to the Father
  • The Holy Spirit indwells followers of Jesus and is the source through which we are able to live godly lives

Our desire is to encourage other women as we share our thoughts and experiences as well as Biblical truths.

Personal Obstacles

By Beth Bingaman | March 27, 2019

Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. ~Colossians 3:2 (ESV) I have a terrible confession to make. It isn’t as bad as some things I could do wrong but it is definitely an obstacle in my life. I know others suffer this same fear. I don’t like to learn things that do not come easily to me. I fear looking dumb or old or just plain incapable of learning (which I know…

Enduring for Paradise

By Natalie Liounis | March 20, 2019

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. ~Hebrews 12:1-2 {ESV} Have you ever endured something incredibly painful because you knew the…

The Crucible of Courage

By Diane Karchner | March 13, 2019

We live by faith, not by sight. ~2 Corinthians 5:7 {ESV} When I read the stories about heroes of the Bible, I wonder if I would have been as courageous. Would I trust in God to give me what I needed? Could I be one of His heroes? For a long time, I doubted that I could. But I realize that God provides choices in our life that will teach us just what kind of hero He wants us to…

Patiently Enduring the Race… and the New Year

By Sarah Eshleman | March 6, 2019

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. ~Hebrews 12:1–2,…
