While You Wait

Waiting is not a problem for me. In fact, I think I excel at it.

I wait…

  • to go to the grocery store until we’re truly out of food.
  • to choose a paint color until I’ve convinced myself the wrong shade isn’t the end of the world.
  • to clean the house until the mess causes me to hyperventilate.
  • to have hard conversations until I just can’t wait anymore.

Some may call it procrastination, but to that, I say tomato/tomahto.

Besides, my waiting is your gain. Instead of writing a post for this month, I found a great post by Stacey McKenzie that I wanted to share. It fits in perfectly with our theme for August and I love encouraging new voices. Also, I highly recommend you sign up for her newsletter because she’s got some fabulous stuff. But before you do, grab a cup of tea or coffee, click on the image, and go read her powerful words about waiting on the Lord.

Nicely done, Stacey! All good ideas re: how to wait well. I find that I’m always waiting on something or in some sort of transition, so it’s good to know how to think and live positively while waiting on God. Thanks for the introduction, Jen!
